Doberman Puppy Health Guarantee

At Doberman Puppies for Rehoming, the health, happiness, and well-being of our puppies are our highest priorities. We are dedicated to providing healthy, well-socialized Doberman puppies and stand behind every puppy we place with a comprehensive health guarantee designed to give our customers confidence and peace of mind.

1-Year Health Guarantee

Every Doberman puppy purchased from Doberman Puppies for Rehoming comes with a 1-Year Health Guarantee. To activate this guarantee, we require that your puppy be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of arrival.

If, during this initial 10-day period, your veterinarian determines that your puppy is clinically ill or suffering from a condition that was present prior to delivery, you may choose one of the following options:

  • Return the puppy for a full refund.
  • Return the puppy for a replacement puppy of equal value.
  • Retain the puppy and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses, up to the original purchase price.

This guarantee applies only when supported by a licensed veterinarian’s written diagnosis and does not cover conditions resulting from accidents, neglect, improper care, or environmental factors after delivery.

Congenital and Hereditary Health Guarantee

We guarantee our puppies against life-threatening congenital and hereditary defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

Should your Doberman puppy be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a serious congenital or hereditary condition that significantly affects its quality of life, or if the puppy passes away as a result of such a condition within the guarantee period, you may qualify for:

  • A replacement puppy of equal value.
  • Other remedies as determined by our guarantee policy.

To qualify, you must notify Doberman Puppies for Rehoming within 48 hours of receiving the veterinarian’s diagnosis and provide all supporting medical documentation.

Initial Veterinary Examination

We strongly recommend scheduling a veterinary appointment as soon as your puppy arrives home. This examination helps ensure your puppy is healthy and allows you to establish a health record with your veterinarian.

Failure to have your puppy examined within the required 10-day period may void portions of this health guarantee.

Vaccinations and Deworming

Before leaving our care, every puppy receives:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Routine deworming treatments
  • A complete health examination by a licensed veterinarian
  • A health certificate confirming good health

Vaccination and deworming schedules must continue after your puppy arrives home. Future vaccinations, booster shots, parasite prevention, and routine veterinary care are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Responsible Ownership

The health and well-being of your puppy depend heavily on proper care after adoption. We are not responsible for illnesses, injuries, infections, or conditions that occur after your puppy leaves our care due to environmental exposure, accidents, improper nutrition, neglect, or failure to follow veterinary recommendations.

We encourage all new owners to provide:

  • Quality nutrition
  • Proper housing and supervision
  • Routine veterinary care
  • Regular exercise and socialization
  • Timely vaccinations and parasite prevention

Genetic Defect Replacement Policy

In the rare event that a licensed veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a severe genetic defect covered under this guarantee, we reserve the right to request:

  • A detailed veterinary report
  • Supporting medical records
  • Contact information for the attending veterinarian

Upon verification, Doberman Puppies for Rehoming will provide a replacement puppy of equal value according to availability.

Veterinary Expenses

All veterinary expenses incurred after purchase are the responsibility of the buyer, including:

  • Routine examinations
  • Vaccinations
  • Preventative care
  • Emergency treatments
  • Medications
  • Diagnostic testing

This guarantee does not include reimbursement for ongoing veterinary expenses beyond the remedies specifically outlined herein.

Loss of Puppy

If a puppy passes away during the guarantee period and a claim is submitted, we may require a necropsy (animal autopsy) performed by a licensed veterinarian to determine the cause of death. The cost of the necropsy is the responsibility of the owner.

Claims cannot be processed without sufficient veterinary evidence confirming the cause of death.

Non-Transferable Guarantee

This health guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It becomes void if ownership of the puppy is transferred, sold, leased, or given to another party.

Health Records and Documentation

Every puppy adopted through Doberman Puppies for Rehoming is accompanied by:

  • Veterinary health records
  • Vaccination records
  • Deworming records
  • Health certificate (where applicable)
  • Care and feeding recommendations
